Lori Bollinger

  • Academic Operations Manager

As Academic Operations Manager, Lori is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of academic support operations for Theatre Arts and other arts departments/programs within the Kenneth P. Dietrich School of Arts & Sciences. This includes course scheduling, book orders, faculty contracts, and various other tasks that help a department run smoothly.

Lori is a life-long visual artist and prior to stepping into this administrative role, Lori spent more than 20 years as a professional scenic artist for the performing arts and instructor in higher education. She served as Scenic Artist/Painting Project Coordinator at Yale Repertory Theatre/Yale School of Drama, Scenic Charge Artist at Glimmerglass Opera, Paint Shop Manager for Florida State University School of Theatre, and Scenic Artist at Pittsburgh Playhouse. In addition to previously being part-time faculty here at Pitt, Lori taught undergraduate and graduate courses in technical theatre at Point Park University, Community College of Allegheny County, and Florida State University.

Lori earned an AS in Fine Art from Mohawk Valley Community College, a BFA in Art and Design with a minor in Art History from Alfred University, and completed various coursework in the Sports, Arts, and Entertainment Management MBA program at Point Park University.
