Collective Creation: Devised Performance on the Global Stage

This course introduces students to foundational concepts associated with devised performance. We will examine devised performances’ ability to generate community, dialogue, and protest across lines of nationality, race, class, and gender. The course culminates in students collaboratively creating and performing their own devised performance inspired by methods and ideologies learned in class.
