Kelly Trumbull

Kelly Trumbull is a multi-disciplinary theater artist who serves on the Performance Area faculty at the University of Pittsburgh. She strives to create empowering, inclusive spaces for the next generation of performing artists. Kelly has collaborated with numerous Pittsburgh universities and arts organizations including Point Park University, the Community College of Allegheny County, City Theatre Company, Pittsburgh Public Theater, Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, Center for Theater Arts, MGR Foundation, Propel Charter Schools, Bricolage, and more. In New York City, she taught with organizations such as Uncommon Schools, Wingspan Arts, Brooklyn Arts Exchange, New York University’s Looking for Shakespeare, and Shakespeare Youth Ensemble. Kelly's acting experience in Pittsburgh includes work with Pitt Stages, Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, Quantum Theatre, Pittsburgh Playhouse (The Rep), Bricolage, Real/Time Interventions, City Theatre Company, and others, as well as numerous commercial, TV, and film credits. As a director, she has worked with the Pittsburgh Playhouse, Pitt Stages, and the New Hazlett Theater’s CSA Series, among others. Her original play, Morning Reckoning, received a full production at the New Hazlett Theater in April 2023, part of CSA Season 10. Currently, she serves on the faculty at Carnegie Mellon University School of Music as an Artist Lecturer in Acting and is a member of the Pittsburgh Public Theater Playwrights Collective. Kelly holds a BFA in Acting from Syracuse University and an MA in Educational Theater in Colleges and Communities from New York University. She is a proud member of Actor’s Equity Association, SAG/AFTRA, and the Dramatists Guild.
